If you have a “HIPAA COMPLIANT” badge on your website or have a business associate with this type of badge, the FTC may not approve, as demonstrated in the FTC case against BetterHelp.

BetterHelp is an online service that offers individuals access to mental health counseling for a weekly fee. The FTC alleged that displaying a seal implying compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) was deceptive.
